As a not-for-profit initiative, we seek sponsorship funds to secure the long term future of the Awards. We invite organisations to provide financial support to develop the Green Gown Awards in return for sharing their sustainability knowledge and brand exposure.
The Environmental Education and Training Unit (EETU) serves as focal point for implementation of the Global Action Programme on Education for Sustainable Development, adopted by UN General Assembly Resolution A/RES/69211 on 19 December 2014.
EETU's programmes, projects, initiatives and activities are organized around three pillars, namely: Education, Training and Networking with specific focus on Higher Education, through the Global Universities Partnership on Environment and Sustainability (GUPES).
EETU supports and strengthens implementation of UNEP’s seven cross-cutting thematic priorities by sharing UNEP's knowledge base with academic community, harnessing the potential of universities as vehicles of change and transformation within communities, and by promoting south-south collaboration amongst institutions of higher learning through mainstreaming of environment and sustainability issues.
