The Awards were brought to Australasia in 2010 and are delivered by our partners ACTS. The Awards are open to all tertiary education institutions in Australia and New Zealand.
The Australasian Awards are managed by ACTS and governed by a cross sector steering group. ACTS is a non-profit member based organisation representing higher and further education institutions within Australia and New Zealand. ACTS aim to inspire, promote and support change towards best practice sustainability within the operations, curriculum and research of the tertiary education sector.
Now in their 10th year, the Green Gown Awards Australasia continue to recognise exceptional sustainability initiatives being undertaken by tertiary education. Finalists in the 2019 awards will have the pleasure of celebrating their achievements in November at the historic Larnach Castle in Dunedin, New Zealand. Situated on the picturesque Otago Peninsula, Larnach Castle will set a spectacular scene for this monumental occasion.
Australasian tertiary education institutions are now invited to submit applications to 10 categories, aimed at recognising a diverse range of sustainability achievements across campuses. Universities, TAFE’s, Institutes of Technology & Polytechnics (ITPs) and RTO’s as well as third-party organisations and multi-partner teams with an institutional leader can enter the awards for free.
Make this your winning year and submit an application by 26 June 2019!
