GREENUS - GREEN waste management new edUcation System for recycling and environmental protection in Asia

GREENUS is an Erasmus+ funded project that supports the modernization, accessibility and market-oriented higher education in Vietnamese Universities in order to contribute to the development of sustainable and inclusive socio-economic growth (in addition to national ownership, social cohesion, equity, proper geographical balance and diversity). The main objectives of the project are to establish 6 new University Courses on waste management/environmental protection and establish pilot-scale Eco-Campus activities in 3 Universities in Vietnam. The courses will be based on an innovative approach that includes the respect of both European and local quality standards, the promotion of students and professors’ mobility, the internationalization of education and the promotion of the recycling culture.

Eco-Campus activities focus on disseminating correct information and contribute to a social change where people are aware of the impact they have on the environment and are aware of being able to make a difference by promoting and practicing the separation of waste and where possible, their reuse. In this sense, each Eco-Campus responds to the need of local communities (including university staff and students) who will benefit from a “learning by doing” action.
