Changing the University culture to accelerate sustainability

Since declaring a climate and ecological emergency in 2019, a key ambition has been to positively change how students go about their lives on and off campus. We have delivered a series of engagement programs and activities to educate and inspire action towards the climate and environment emergency.

We have identified a number of programmes that are run either through, i) a bottom-up or grassroots approach led by students or the Student Union Green Committee or, ii) top-down which has been delivered by the University professional services team.

Ultimately, these programmes and our plans are building into a student pathway strategy which looks at how sustainability can be integrated into every aspect of student life at Falmouth University.
