Uniting the arts and science to act on climate change

An inter-disciplinary team from the Faculties of Arts and Humanities and Science and Engineering, collaborated with the University’s Sustainability Team, and also in partnership with Storyhouse (one of the UK’s foremost cultural charities) to host a day of performances, practical workshops, presentations, and discussion panels to inspire our local community to learn about the ways they can reduce their carbon footprint and protect the environment.

A host of leading scientists and thinkers, sustainability pioneers, creatives and young people came together to talk about the work that is being done to combat climate change and promote a more sustainable way of living. The event attracted over 500 visitors to the event, including a range of local primary schools.
