What the Judges Thought

The judges noted the strong Governance links and how this came together for the University with the who and what is material to the organisation. The judges particularly liked the reference and link to students in this early on and the fact that it could be seen that they were the primary impacted stakeholders.  Embedded SDGs, and these being linked to other aspects of the organisation, were also stongly praised, and good to see.

What it Means to Win

“The University is very proud to win this Award. We have been working to embed sustainability in our daily work for nearly two decades, taking initiatives large and small, individual and as a community. Systematically reporting, working in partnership and inclusively are all crucial to achieving the progress we need.”

Professor David Green CBE DL, Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive
