The International Green Gown Awards finalists' showcase.

We are excited to unveil the finalists' showcase for the 2024 International Green Gown Awards, featuring 95 exceptional finalists' projects from 28 countries. This showcase not only highlights innovative sustainability solutions but also promotes the replication of these successful initiatives globally. The International Green Gown Awards, in association with Allianz Global Investors, are supported by UN Environment Programme and are open to any university or college across the world.

Now in their 10th year, the 2024 Awards were launched in February and finalists are invited to submit their stage 2 submission. Winners will be announced in September.

Recognising exceptional sustainability initiatives being undertaken by the world's universities and colleges, the International Green Gown Awards set the bar and put every learning institution at the heart of delivering the UN Global Goals.

We are delighted to be working in partnership with The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), L’Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), International Association of Universities (IAU) and the Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI). 

The Green Gown Awards are delivered regionally by ACTS for the Australasian Green Gown Awards and EAUC for the UK & Ireland Green Gown Awards.

We believe in students and the power of education and the International Green Gown Awards help identify the best ideas and encourage others to take action. The Awards are UN recognised but we don't get any funding to run them. That is why we need your help.
